July 11th 2011 - Yes Bay Lodge Fishing Report

Today the fishing was a little slower and a little more work, but those who persevered were rewarded with some nice catches, including a few of the remaining Kings around. The real treat of the day was by far the best weather we have had this season, it was downright hot today for us Alaska people...but it was bright sunny blue skies and calm winds, in fact at times no wind, the seas were glassy for the majority of the day.

It was a beautiful summer day at Yes Bay!! Here are the pictures for today, only a few boats fished we are in a little lull between large groups of guests, the Lodge will be full again in a day or two...

July 10th - Yes Bay Lodge Fishing Report

A fine day of fishing today and fantastic weather, flat calm seas, bright sunshine and blue skies and some good fishing...

Good assortment of fish today and also some crew fishing since the large group left yesterday and some guides had some time off today so some of the staff got to go fishing today.

July 9th - Yes Bay Lodge Fishing Report

Our large group left today after lunch so it was a short morning fish for most of the guests and guides, but the fish kept coming in, weather stayed nice with some sunshine this morning and warmer temperatures and almost no wind...the fish cooperated as well.

Here are the pics for today with some nice fish including a big 31 pound king on Slice's boat....

July 8th - Yes Bay Lodge Fishing Report

Another great day of fishing with good weather and a great King bite this morning and late afternoon and plenty of other fish around the rest of the day, it was a fun day for everyone, with plenty of action throughout just about the whole day...

BTW - Below is a real nice 35.5 pound King on Kickers boat...









Lots of people leaving tomorrow afternoon, a large group, but most fishing in the morning so another round of a large amount of pictures are in order and hopefully a large amount of fish...

July 7th - Yes Bay Lodge Fishing Report

I think everyone here today would agree that today was a fantastic day of fishing, the weather cooperated with very little rain, almost no wind and warmer weather with some actual sunshine thrown in...add the fact that the fishing was fantastic with limits of most all species on virtually every boat....
