June 28th - More Hummingbird Shots

Had to go out this evening after dinner and try a few close up shots of the Hummingbirds – they seem to be getting used to me and my camera and the flash does not seem to bother them, so I figured what the heck, let’s see just how close I could get!!

Raining hard and low light so it was a challenge, but several came out very good. There were plenty of birds to choose from, must have been at least 20-30 around most of the time!!

June 28th Fishing Report

Sunday June 28th – Fishing Report

The bite was slower today with only a few boats catching a limit of Kings and for most it took almost all day! Halibut was real slow today with none hitting the dock, although the fishing was real tough with very cold north winds and heavy rain all day!! Hard to keep the boat on any of our normal halibut spots!

Hopefully the weather will break tomorrow and the fishing will pick up a little!!

Enjoy the picture, still a good day of fishing at Yes Bay!!

June 27th Fishing Report

Saturday June 27th, 2009 Fishing Report

What looked to be a terrible day weather wise turned out to be a pretty decent fishing day, although it was cold, rainy and the wind was blowing so we had to find places to fish where the wind and waves weren’t too bad, seems the fish preferred the same spots!

Lots of Kings were caught, kept and quite a few released! A couple nice halibut were caught and all in all it was a good fishing day! The largest of the season a whopping 38 pound King was caught today, what a beautiful fish!

Hopefully the weather will improve tomorrow, because it couldn’t get much worse!!

Enjoy the pictures,

Good day fishing today, not a bunch of big fish caught but a good variety. Seems a bunch of shakers were caught and released as well.

More Hummers

Friday – June 26th, 2009 – Hummingbird Madness

I have become somewhat fascinated watching and photography the hummingbirds around the feeder behind the Lodge. It sits right outside of the crew dining room, so I pass it to and from dinner and really can’t resist getting my camera and trying out some shots!!

Here are a few more from this evening!
