September 11th - Fishing Report

First, being the anniversary of 9/11 be assured those of us at Yes Bay Lodge have not forgotten.

We can feel an even bigger weather change coming and it is supposed to hit tomorrow, we had rain on and off all day today, never real hard, but pretty steady, temperatures have dropped to a normal September and we had some wind out there today but still fishable pretty much every where, however, for some reason the silver salmon bite was slow...we had some nice ones hit the dock along with small halibut and some beautiful large Yellow Eyes - one topping 14 pounds and the other not far behind and a couple smaller ones as well. Bottom fishing was pretty good today with a great assortment of rock fish.

Here are today's catch pictures!

Look at the size of those two yellow eye's!

September 10th - Fishing Report

Fall is still in the air with some wind, rain and cooler temperatures. Silver fishing was still pretty good on the morning bite, but then the wind came up and it got a little rough out so most retreated to Bell in the afternoon for halibut and Kings...

Some real nice fish hit the dock today! Silvers, Kings and halibut and a few rock fish!

Today's Catch Pictures!

And a little crew and guest fishing - Heidi and friend took a day and went out with Big John!

Fall is in the air - huge weather change today and we hope this is not a sign of more to come...cold, wind, rough seas and driving rain throughout much of the day.

Our guests still managed some very nice catches of silvers, halibut and rock fish and this afternoon some very nice Kings! One going over 30 pounds! Both white Kings as well...

Here are the pictures from today's catch!

September 8th - Fishing Report

Had some wind today but no rain yet! Rain expected this evening, heavy at times, according to the weather service, we'll see if it does, it would be helpful to get a new batch of silvers here and the ones that are here chewing...the bite was better this morning than this afternoon, but in spite of a slow bite, some nice silvers hit the dock a couple real nice halibut, some yellow eyes and a rock fish or two.

A good day fishing at Yes Bay - Catch Pictures!

September 5th - Fishing Report

I apologize for the tardiness of yesterdays report, we had some internet issues last evening and the upload of photos was delayed until this morning.

A beautiful day yesterday with perfect weather, very calm winds and virtually no waves and sunshine made for very pleasant fishing. The morning salmon bit was better than the afternoon bite, but for those who hung in there it was good fishing with some nice silvers hitting the dock and a king.

Here are today's pictures!
