September 4th - Fishing Report

Rain in the morning then some breaks of sunshine throughout the day, some tide wind and some bumps, but very fishable. Silver bite was spotty but if you hung in there they were there and most boats caught what they wanted, some nice silvers a few halibut and some nice rock fish...

Pictures tell the story!

September 3rd - Fishing Report

Rain and more rain and a little bumpy out front after lunch, but it didn't slow the fishing down much at all. The silvers are still here and getting bigger, the morning bite was slow but steady with most boats getting some real nice fish. The afternoon bite was still pretty slow, but they were there for those who hung in there. Halibut and rock fish also hit the dock as well as a few nice kings.

It was a good fishing day at Yes Bay - Pictures to prove it!

September 2nd - Fishing Report

Good weather today with a short period of light sprinkles and a little wind, but for th most part it was very nice out a little overcast. but nice! And the real good news is the SILVERS are here in quantity...today was a great fishing day for every boat!

Kickers boat had the two boys and Grandpa Jacobsen on the boat and has 12 real nice silver salmon in the boat by 9:30 in the morning and finished the morning with 16! Most boats did just about as well. Along with silvers there were a few Kings and some halibut and some great rock fish, including a real nice Yellow Eye!

Here are the pictures and there are a bunch!

September 1st - Fishing Report

Weather change again today - went from sunny and calm yesterday to a little rainy and blustery, especially this afternoon. Made for a lumpy ride home, but it didn't affect the fishing much, lots of nice fish hit the dock, some big kings and some nice silvers and a couple nice halibut...

Pictures from today's catch!

It is always a pleasure to have the Jacobsen's here and for those of us who have been here a few years we have watched the boys grow up and it is wonderful to see them become better and better fisherman...today is not exception, they all did well today, but Tom and Will were mooching at Bell Island for some kings and Will played it perfectly, he felt the bite, reeled up fast and when he felt the pressure, he set the hook and knew it was on and yelled for his brother Tom to give him a hand, Snowman watched in awe as the pair worked to land a beautiful 22.7 pound King Salmon a wonderful feat! Something we have watched a few adult good fisherman struggle with, this was a powerful fish and they handled it with ease! Add in a couple small halibut and I would say the boys had a wonderful afternoon of fishing!

The catch of the day was a wonderful 28.9 pound King one of the largest "Feeder" Kings we have seen at the Lodge in years!
