July 5th - Great Weather today and decent fishing!

Full house change today so only a couple boats went out with guests today, most Guides spent the day helping guests get down to the planes and load fish boxes into the airplane, then clean boats, fix rigging and get ready for the next round which starts for most of us tomorrow as we had quite a few new guests arrive today!!

A couple crew boats fished today and we managed some real nice chum salmon, so it looks like they have arrived and along with pinks will be the staple of our catches over the coming weeks. There are still a few Kings around, but you will have to fish harder to find them. Of course we still have been getting some nice halibut so you can bet that will be on the agenda over the coming weeks as well.

On with the pictures from today!

And just so we don't forget who the leader is in our salmon pool for biggest King, here is our beloved dockmaster Dewey (Cutter) with the leading King Salmon at 31 pound 3 ounces!!

King Salmon Pool Leader for 2010

Halibut Pool Leader for 2010

The professor and guest with a real nice 141 pounder!!

There's still time to knock us off of the leader board!!

More of the great fishing from Yes Bay Lodge in SE Alaska tomorrow and the rest of the season, Thanks for tuning in!!
