July 4th - Fishing Report

Happy July 4th Everyone...we are all finished fishing for the day and anxiously waiting our great fireworks display...look for a few pictures later tonight ot tomorrow! The Chef also prepared our traditional BBQ this evening with some great BBQ Ribs, Chicken and fresh corn on the cob!! So Happy 4th Everyone and Happy Birthday America!

The weather was great today with fairly calm winds and no rain. Fishing for Kings was a little slow this morning and a little better this afternoon, but not fast and furious. Those who went the other direction managed some real nice catches of Chum salmon and a couple pinks.

Frank Starling wore himself out on a hundred plus pound halibut by length at 66 or so inches it is estimated at 148 pounds. Sadly it was just under the 68 inch limit so after all his hard work...it was released to be caught another day! A few minutes later he had a hard time reeling up 3 pound Pacific Cod! He was Worn OUT!

Here are today's pictures!

Always a great day at Yes Bay!
