Monday August 31^st, 2009 – Fishing Report

You could not have asked for a more beautiful day today and then top it off with a great day of fishing. The weather was fantastic, light winds, bright sunshine and warm temperature and HOT fishing! Limits all around for most boats with an assortment of nice big silvers, a couple chum and pinks, some decent halibut and yellow eye snappers, a couple rockfish and you have a dock full of fish today.

Yes Bay Lodge Fishing Report - August 30th, 2009

Sunday August 30^th, 2009 – Fishing Report

Another great day of fishing at Yes Bay Lodge with some beautiful silvers and chum salmon hitting the docks today and a real nice 26 pound King Salmon a few halibut and some nice rock fish rounded out the day.

Bunch of people left today and more arrived so more boats will be out fishing tomorrow.

Saturday August 29^th, 2009 – Fishing Report

Rain and more rain but real good fishing with a bunch of really nice silvers hitting the dock in both the morning and afternoon. One young man managed a really nice 17 pound silver, there were quite a few well over 10 pounds yesterday, the bigger silvers are beginning to arrive. The bite was steady but not fast and furious.

A couple halibut hit the dock including a real nice 60 pounder. It was a great day of fishing at Yes bay Lodge in SE Alaska.

Friday August 28^th, 2009 – Fishing Report

A ton of fish hit the dock today, but it was slow fishing, those with determination managed a limit of all species of salmon today. Nice bright big silvers, a couple chum and a couple pinks rounded out the catch with a real nice 17 pound King and another smaller one on the dock this afternoon.

Bottom fishing was a bust with most boats concentrating on salmon the few who did halibut fish and bottom fish managed a few nice rockfish, but no butts!

Yes Bay Lodge Fishing Report - August 27th, 2009

Thursday August 27^th, 2009 – Fishing Report

Banner day today with all boats fishing for a full Lodge of people. Plenty of fish hit the dock today with a great assortment, plenty of nice silvers, including a real nice 16.6 pounder a couple nice Kings, including a 17 pounder, a couple nice bright chums and a few pinks rounded out the salmon catch. The a couple halibut hit the dock this afternoon, including a 60 pounder, several nice yellow eye snapper and a few rock fish.

A great day of fishing in spite of the weather, plenty of wind this morning, then it died down until time to head back in this afternoon, then it started blowing again. Couple rain drops throughout the day but not much. Fall is just around the corner, you can feel it in the air.
