August 18th - Fishing Report

Weather stayed real nice, overcast this morning and calm but for the most part the wind stayed down almost all day, a little breezy this late afternoon. The sun came out in the afternoon for a beautiful finish to a good day.

A few of a large group hiked the trail today and fished in the river beside the Lodge, so less boats fishing today. Salmon bite was real slow most of the day, with very slow moving tides, which made for great bottom fishing, which is what most boats focused on.

The pictures tell the story with a few pink salmon and some nice halibut and a few nice yellow eyes and some big rock fish.
