Those of you who know me, understand that I have three passions in life, fishing, photography and traveling. It is a beautiful day when you can combine all three!! Today was one of those days....
I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to travel, take pictures and fish with good friends!
I am in Dillon, Montana and had another opportunity to fish the famous Beaverhead River and it lived up to it's reputation. I was on beautiful brown trout all day. To give you an idea, I walked down to the river, made three casts and had three fish. Decided to try another hole about 20 yards up river and made another couple casts and had another fish on the line. I lost count after that, but every hole I moved to produced at least a couple fish in less than 10 or 12 casts. By now I had walked about 500 yards and decided I was tired of catching and wanted to record some of the action with my good, good friend Steve from Salt Lake City who first introduced me to this river last year. He deserved a "photo shoot", so I walked back to the truck, put the fishing gear away and put on my photographers hat. Steve had moved to one of his favorite "holes" and was very soon on the fish...none were great big fish, but the action was non-stop. For example - all the pictures here were taken within about a 45 minute period and each fish picture is a different fish! Plus several more....
Here is Steve!
Walking back to the truck, the leaves caught my eye and deserved a shot!
Stay Tuned - more fishing tomorrow and Thursday...hopefully some bigger fish...
