Happy Times a Gathering of Family!

One of the highlights of my trip home for the summer was being able to see family members who I have not seen in years...and meet a few new members to the family. Yesterday we had a wonderful gathering and I was so happy we had a huge crowd, fun conversations and great food!

Of course I took a few pictures...and some from the past few days. This flower is at my campsite!

My favorite Niece and her family are up from Louisiana and they stopped by the RV Park for Outback Ray's Animal Show, the kids had a grand time and fell right into my job of picture taking....

Later in the afternoon all my cousins and families gathered at my sisters house for some family fun!

This wonderful flower was in my sisters yard and begged to be photographed!

Been a great summer so for and will see a ton of other relatives at another gathering in August, looking forward to it!

Blog Update - Summertime Fun

A short summer update for my friends who follow along.

Most of you know I am in Ohio - first job did not work out and I secured another at a wonderful RV Park...Jellystone Akron/Canton...I work weekends taking pictures of the activities and Sunday and Monday afternoons on the pool gate. It has been hot and muggy here the past couple weeks...and my A/C in the RV took a dump so have 4 fans running continuously...hasn't been too bad but humidity is the worse.

I have not been out taking many pictures yet, but hope to this week. Seems after taking a zillion pictures of the kids having fun every weekend and processing I am a little burnt out.

Here are a few from around the park!

This was Water War weekend so lots of water activities...here are a couple I liked!

I will be in Ohio until late September and then working my way South to Florida...hopefully get the A/C fixed this week...

Thanks for following along....

Still have a long summer at my RV Park and taking pictures of the activities, you can see my pictures at the link below.

Blog Update - Why Ohio!

Almost exactly a year ago while in Montana I started making my future plans on the road and decided I wanted to spend a winter in Florida to see some friends and my step son. I also decided I would like to spend a summer in Ohio and visit family and friends there.

Without fail - the question I would get was "WHY OHIO"?

Well, here it is - who wants to go have a beer or Margarita with old friends?

I was very happy to spend an evening with my old classmates at the Green Diamond!

We had a nice turn-out! Thank You!

I still have plans to get out and take many more pictures of Ohio and see more friends!

Here is one I took the other day in my campsite!

I get immense enjoyment sharing my travels and photography with my friends from Florida, Montana, Alaska and my winter friends from 29 Palms RV Resort in California...but most of all my dear friends from Ohio. My life on the road can get a little lonely from time to time, but knowing that I have so many special people following me, makes me look for my next place to share.

Thank you everyone for following along!

I will be in Ohio all summer with plans to head to Tennessee to see some more friends in late September or early October, I will also be visiting a prospective RV Park in North Carolina to see about spending time and working there next summer. Plan to be in Florida for next winter, will spend most of my time in the Tampa, St Pete area where I lived for 20 years or so...lots of people there to visit. After next summer plan to be back out west with my winter friends in S. California...

Before I leave this fall, I will be seeing many friends and relatives here and also taking some pictures for next years calendar...still working on ideas for that project.

I had a great time last night, I really enjoyed seeing so many old classmates! Next meeting is July 12th at the Hungarian Club, make plans to be there!

Ohio Update Welcome to June!

Soooooo - I have now been at my new location for a couple weeks and so far I am loving it...I have primarily been working weekends as that is when the majority of activities are going on and the most people. Memorial Day the place was overbooked and packed.

This park is amazing and has planned activities all weekend, primarily for kids, up to teens...and of course there is the swimming pool and minature golf for when you get bored!

I will share a few pictures from the past few days!

Yogi was out touring the park and signing autographs!

On Saturdays Outback Ray comes to visit with animals! The kids get to touch all the animals!

Armadillo!

And a very large Python!

Also got some great pics at the Human FoosBall!

All in all I have gotten some great pics of the kids and activities - reluctant to post pics of kids that I have no idea who they are on the internet...so will keep it to scenic and animals!

I have not gotten out and about much yet - but will soon and for sure be at the next Lady Men and Magics meeting on the 15th at Green Diamond!

I did do a little front porch sittin on Tuesday evening at Libby and Bills, had a few beers and caught up on all the goings on and rumors!

Blog Update - Jellystone Memorial Day Weekend!

My new location opened with a flourish this weekend - a full park and a ton of activities and wonderful hot sunny weather...

Wednesday was a great day to start with the entire local middle school - 10 school bus loads of kids to open the pool and get the staff ready for the holiday weekend...it was a great time!

Friday the park started to fill and by the end of the evening and early Saturday morning the park was full and the pool was full and a ton of activities planned! My job this weekend was to get pictures - so far I am well past 500 and many really good ones....

My Camper in my site!

The neighborhood!

A few from the park pictures from this weekend!

Outback Ray brought some animals for everyone to see!

There was also tie-dying shirts!

I got a ton of great pictures of all the kids and adults having fun...sure is different taking pictures of active kids rather than the seniors back in Twentynine Palms - harder to keep up with for sure!

Still plenty of action left this weekend...more pics and an update later after I process more pics!

Plenty more pictures on my photo site HERE!

Summer in Ohio - Re-Group New Destination

Well, as many of you know my original destination didn't quite work out...I was extremely disappointed in the park and the way my departure was announced, I will chalk it up to poor management.

Basically the Park is in transition and they were way behind on their scheduled plans and needed another person around like a hole in the head...of course my feeling was they should have known that a long time ago and I could have punted before I even made the drive...but they didn't and I had to leave quickly (not fair) and re-group.

Thankfully my old HS Classmate (David Augustynovich) stepped up to the plate and allowed me to move my trailer to his place while I found another place. My sisters driveway is not an option - it is a steep hill and besides it has an association with restrictions...Augie's is on a large piece of property in the country and no problems.

So I dropped the trailer there and headed to my sisters for a few days to find something else. As it turns out had three offers and one was perfect. So I accepted the job and moved the camper over on Thursday the 19th of May and got to work right away on Saturday in the rain.

The job entails two functions - a couple days a week I will work collecting money for the waterpark and during functions and activities I will be taking pictures for the park, which is really what I enjoy, so should be a fun summer. In the meantine here are a few I have taken so far.

My Little Home in it's new summer location!

A Couple Park Pics!

Many of my park pics will be of kids and I don't want to publish pics all over the internet of kids who I have no idea who they are and would hate to have a parent get upset, so will leave those for the park to put on their website.

But here is an example!

So reality is, it worked out way better than the original place, much more to my liking and only 2.8 miles from my sisters, vs 25 miles....

Should be a fun and interesting summer!

I have a couple personal projects for this summer - 2017 Calendar will be either a Barberton one or an Ohio one, depends on the shots I get and the time to take them.
